Join Carol on February 14th, 5.15-7 pm for the conference Plenary Address, "disrupting the story" Addressed to psychoanalysts and psychotherapists, this session will focus on disruption: its clinical manifestations and its theoretical ramifications. The historical association of a disruptive voice with a woman’s voice will be considered and the story of Eve will be revisited in light of contemporary insights. Educational methods will involve the presentation of research evidence and a new framework for understanding the function of disrupting a story that otherwise can appear natural or inevitable. The implications for clinical practice will be considered.

On February 16th, at 5.15 -7.15 pm Carol will be joinng 8 other presenters at the conference's special Special symposium entitled  "100 YEARS AFTER “BEYOND THE PLEASURE PRINCIPLE”: OUR CONTEMPORARY TRAUMATIZING SURROUND: RACISM, CLIMATE CHANGE, AND MIGRATION: AN INTERGENERATIONAL DISCUSSION"
